FHE Activity - drawing family members

This turned out to be the thing we have laughed the hardest about in months!. I mean, who would have thought the whole idea of getting the FHE activity done quick would bring so much laugh!
I drew uncle Greg...with his side burns, shaggy hair, no smile since he doesn't like to smile when he gets his pictures taken and "games" tag since he likes gaming on the computer so much. I seriously have no drawing skills so this picture made us laugh big time! ...so much that Ryan decided it was his turn.
He drew his dad with tons of her (his loving nickname to his dad is "helmet"), his 2 teeth (Ryan says he has Indian corn teeth...tooth #9 was crowned like 20 + years ago and the color is off from the rest of his front teeth). This is something Ryan and his dad laugh about often ... Oh man, the only reason why I am ever posting this is so that we have record of these funny moments and laugh at them one day :)

Backyard Update Pictures

Well, here is our backyard pictures update. The top soil is now graded and evenly spread. We are just waiting on siding, sprinklers and sod. I can't hardly wait! What a process!

This is the wood fire pit and a dutch oven area.
This is Ryan's 1/2 B-Ball court. He swiped it today, but I have already taken the after wards pictures, so you get the "unswiped" version on the court...We will be putting the giant B-Ball hoop soon, we just need to recruit like 10 strong guys to help us with it. It is like 700 lbs heavy!!! I don't understand why those things have to be so heavy!

Poor little one

This was Aubrey today. Still recovering from the nasty virus and found out yesterday that she had an ear infection. It has been quite the eventful week! I have been waking her up for meds every 3 hours over night for 2 night straights. She finally got rid of the fever this morning. So she came back to her normal self and wanted to play. I could tell at times during the day that she just didn't want her environment to be too busy, like if she didn't quite recover yet. She is by the window watching daddy and grandpa work in the yard. I have loved cuddling her all these days (which is not like Aubrey although she will let ya give her loves a few times a day). Just glad this nightmare is finally fading away and she is lots better!

We are "Nike" kind of people

Well, here are my work shoes. Yeah, both Nike pairs. something about the look and slickness of them made me want to have them! Just love how they look and how flashy they are! Let me tell ya, you need flashy shoes when all you are wearing are scrubs, something in your attire has to scream fun! I also managed to get each pair for less than $50! What a buy, huh? Now, my shoes match my scrubs. I have another pair that matches my third day scrubs but forgot to take a shot of them They are New Balance ones and love how they fit me super comfy.

And here are Ryan's B-Ball beauties! Just found them! Poor guy...he plays B-ball at a regular basis and has had the same pair of shoes for almost 4 years! It was time to update...they were going to disintegrate soon! He loves them and they fit their purpose (to hug his ankles so that he doesn't get another injury like last years).
Oh yeah, these are his new ankle braces. He had to buy them specially to keep his ankles from braking. He broke an ankle last year and has had too many injuries. But, given the fact that he wasn't going to quit B-ball (because it is his passion), he did his homework and found these super ankle braces that work wonderfully!

Our Landscape Project

These are the stair's sketch in front of our house that lead to our main house door. We might do rock or concrete. Still deciding.
This is still the front of our house but to the right if you are facing the house. Love the curved natural rock stairs

This isa shot of our backyard. In-ground tramp and the different levels of our yard. We were leveling it out today with kevin and Mell's help.
Here are the before pictures with the dirt piles. Soon to post the after pictures. All we need now is the sprinkling system, the curving, the sod and the B-Ball hop up. We might be putting our trees and bushes towards the end of the summer. Will see...
Here are the die hard Ryan and Mell (his dad). They were born to work in the yard, I swear!
And get old Kevin, he is the man when it comes to making the rock walls (so perfectly done) and leveling everything out! We love him! What a find!
The view to the left of our backyard if you exit from the kitchen back door
 And to the right.
Below, the closest colored concrete circle is meant to be a gazebo one day and the other one is a gas fire place.
The after shot of working in the dirt all day! Thanks Mel! We wouldn't have gotten it done without ya! (Ryan put on 110 spf sunscreen, but Mell didn't...what a tan!)
Soon to post the after pictures of our improved landscape!

Gone already?

Oh man! I think I'm depressed we are out of my homemade canned spaghetti sauce! I can't go back to "Prego" now that I have tasted this heavenly homemade stuff! Background: So last year it was my very first year canning. My friend Suzette taught Ryan and I how to can. We canned for one week (hard core) peaches (like 57 cans), salsa (12) and spaghetti sauce (12). Everything we canned has been a success but being that I am from Spain and love love pasta...guess we ran out of spaghetti sauce already!  So, I am planning to triple the amount of canned spaghetti sauce this year! and I am also going to venture and can some apple sauce (which Ryan and Aubrey love) and maybe a couple other things. I am excited and tomato season cannot come soon enough!
Here is the campground I set for Aubrey last night. Yes, she got another nasty virus again! Poor little love, she is definitely building up her immune system!
I read a few articles about viruses this year and how to best treat them at home and set up my alarm every 3 hours to make sure her fever didn't spike up like Wednesday night to 107!. The doctor said to keep watching her since she had a virus and to bring her in if it didn't resolve within 3 days or spiked up again. She finally got rid of the fever this morning having had 102 degrees with medicines for 2 days! (thank goodness for that, I was getting ready to take her back to the doctor to make sure it was still a virus and no bacterial infection has taken place). Oh yeah, and the cute little lamp I re-decorated a few months ago. I think my sisters would want to see this one, ha ha! It looks like a typical flower in Spain "Clavel"
And here my sleeping beauty! She was not herself... so calm, sleepy, cuddly...I mean I liked that Aubrey but knew she was miserable. It just drew the biggest smile in my face when she woke up this morning yelling: Mommy! I'm hungry! ... I knew then she was back and fever gone :)

B-Day Party with Friends

Here is Aubrey with her little friend Bridget. This is the cake we came up with.

And a few decorations we did to make the party theme be princess and spring colors.
On the table is a castle piñata. That was super fun for all the kids to play with.
 Blowing the candles!
And Aubrey dropped her piece of cake on the floor. She was too excited to keep focus :)
 Being silly!
This is her little friend Kate.
 And Rubi.
Aubrey opening some presents. She really got spoiled!

This is what we bought her with the money that my sister Dámaris and her husband Lamber got her for her B-Day. She is really loving making shapes!

 And being a doctor :)

This is her all excited playing with her new toys this morning. She couldn't wait!

Aunt Kim

This is Aunt Kim. We went to her work yesterday (Good Earth) to visit for a bit with the rest of the family (Aunt Liz, Olivia, Madison, Aunt Julie, Uncle Wes, Grandpa Mel, Ronin, Ryan, Aubrey and I) after dinner. We ate at Chackarama. It was fun to get to visit with them :D Ryan loved joking around with his uncle Wes. I wanted to take a group picture of everybody but they all got in the car and were ready to leave so maybe next time :D

Loves this movie!

Watching Caillou, her new favorite movie!
This is Aubrey's little mouse toy. She was playing catch with grandpa and it ended up falling in the smoothie container. We all laughed pretty darn hard at the time. Had to post the picture. We were all really proud of Aubrey making in it into the bowl...it took a ton of skill!
 On Easter Sunday.

After her little egg hunt. She liked the little toys and few treats she found inside the eggs. We took videos of her egg hunting in our backyard and forgot to take pictures. Funny: she would find an egg, scream because she saw it, run to it, grab it, shake it super hard, if it sounded like something was inside she would giggle, if not she would frown like...is this a good one to put on my basket?...I will anyways. It was an awesome thing to watch as parents!

 There is another smile!
 And a typical pose :D
