UDA Convention

So, we decided we wanted to stay over since at a hotel in Salt Lake since were were asked to go to as many classes. I liked that idea since I killed 10 credits in a couple days! So, here we are at this Red Iguana Mexican restaurant that Brenna so wanted to go. Well, it turns out it isn't that good (food wise).

So spicy for me..it cleared the heck out of my nostrils! But I was hungry so I wasn't going to give up!
The joys of walking around the "big city". Serious? Flags? Not used to seeing those around that's for sure.

Art? Are those big bronze hand playing with a yo-yo? And a giant umbrella? Well then! Haven't I been missing out...
And a group picture of us at PF Chains restaurant with our dentist (Dr. Murdock) and his wife Cheree. That was super yummy food. It was funny I got to see a lot of friends from my graduating class there! Good catching up them :)

I'm 30!

This year my B-day was a week long celebration! First, my bestie Megan took me out to lunch to Sonora Grill (my favorite Mexican restaurant)

Aubrey and Ryan came with me, and yes, she lost it towards the end.
My mom package with beautiful paintings of the Mona Lisa and my Home street in Toledo. They are design to fit canvas. Can't wait to get them ready and hang! I absolutely love them! P.S. Me and Ryan got to see the Mona Lisa in Italy at the Lauvre museum a couple years ago.
And B-day dinner with Mell at Tepanyki's. I had my sushi roll, salmon and stake too! Those noodles were to die for by the way. Loved the show! although Aubrey was terrified and was extra cuddly (I was okay with that :D)
A home -chillin kind of celebration. It was nice to lay back and relax. Costa Vida dinner and 3 leches dessert (one of my absolutely favorite, so heavenly!)

So Busy ...

Aubrey has been developing her new hairstyling skills with her Daddy's hair. The loops daddy goes through to make her little one happy :D

And she also loves to talk to her daddy on the phone. She is pretty good at explaining what she has been up to for the day!
Bridgett is her little friend down the road from our house. This picture cracks me up since Aubrey is 3 days younger than Bridgett and that much taller. She had to brush her friend's hair too :)
And Saturday activities with mom. Thank goodness for Pinterest! Love the toddler ideas they have in there

Happy Valentines everyone! We made Oreo red chocolate pops for our friends and neighbors. Aubrey was such a good helper! Can you tell she tasted the chocolate part one or twice? Her favorite thing to do was delivering them. She had her PJs on, her animal winter hat and black little boots. She knocked her little heart out on each door and then ran into the houses as soon as they opened...thinking she got to stay or visit. Oh man, she makes me laugh so hard at times...
And her Valentine's Card from her daddy. I didn't give her one thinking that we have already done a lot of little valentines things: like neighbor's treats, daddy's card decorating, house decorating...etc. I should probably give her one next year. She loved the card from Ryan and tried to read it with her own little words and interpretations...she thought it was a mini story book :D
And Ryan's Valentine's gift for both of us! Ha! didn't expect this one. In fact, when we got home that day this big moose awaited for us in the living room with the lights off. When we opened the living room door it scared both of us and this is how it went:
Me: Hooolyyy!!!!
Aubrey: Shi... ! (you know the rest)
Ryan: Passed out laughing.
Miriam: What?!? Ryan, did she say the bad word?
Ryan: Oh yeah!...wait...what? Did you teach her that one?
Miriam: What...me? Nooo!!!, did you?
Ryan: Nope!...(laughs some more)...if i would have recorded this with the camera and posted it onto YouTube we would be rich!
Miriam: Yeah...probably! (laughs)
Aubrey: Cuddles to the moose and plays with it like nothing was ever said nor happened!

Aubrey is a great believer in Band aids. If she gets hurt a kiss and a band aid will relief her from the pain. This time, she got hurt with the corner of our kitchen island table while running around. I went ahead and put a band aid in the spot she got hurt. Ryan thought it was funny that I wouldn't consider how much it could hurt to get the band aid out afterwards. He was right. That was tricky. But at least it made her happy for a few minutes!

And she is now all about dancing and skirts! In fact, she figured she would be so much cooler if she danced with her daddy's hat on. How did she figure that one out?

And these are her "pretty shoes" like she calls them. These are her all time favorite! Her aunties from Spain: Dámaris, Raquel and Ester bought them for her while in a shopping spree! She got all sort of stuff, lucky...
Today, when she woke up from her nap she wanted her Sunday dress back on! She is that obsessed with dresses and skirts :) Ryan thinks is super cute! I went on and got her dressed up and painted her finger nails ( at her request). We all ended up dancing in the living room. It's great cardio, let me tell ya! Hope no neighbors saw us though...it was pretty free style dancing, ha!

FuNnY ThInGs AuBrEy HaS SaId LaTeLy

1. Aubrey doesn't use the noun "HE"..when she wants to refer to anybody whether it is a boy or girl she always uses "SHE". I love the comment Ryan made about this: "Aubrey thinks everyone is a girl! How cute is that!?!"
2. She is still a Milkoholic!
3. She says I "Meed" instead of "I need"
4. Has been catching up on her Spanish a little more, loves to skype with my family!
5. The other night it was quite windy and you could hear it quite a bit throughout the night. I was surprised that Aubrey slept through the night! When I woke her up to get her ready (still half asleep)she said: "Mommy, there is a plane in me room!" as she looked up to the ceiling. She must of thought that the wind was just as loud as an airplane! That totally made my day :)
6. She says: I poopoo my panties, when she means I tutted ... she is totally going to kill me on this one if she gets to read it when she gets older ....sorry!

These kinds of entries are really for us as a family so that we can keep a record of it. I like to print my blogs into books at the end of each year. It is fun to go back and look through the books from years past!

AnD We GoT ZaRa and MoRe!!

Okay, let's face it. ZARA is my all time favorite clothing store for many reasons: Quality, price, tall jeans, classy clothing style, kids cute cute clothes and accessories, love the shoes and styles changes every 3 to 4 weeks so no one wears the same thing at the same time...and I love that! So, i shopped a bit during sales time and got me a cute V neck sweater and got Aubrey the cutest gray cardigan and long sleeve with ruffles on the sleeves. SO cute! I must confess that going to Spain was even funner because I got to shop at ZARA but now I am happy to say that: "Spain came to me!!!"

Thursday Ryan's dad and Ronin came home to visit and Ryan really wanted me to cook his all time favorite dinner instead of dinning out (as we usually do on Thursdays with his dad). I made this really typical dish from Spain called: "PAELLA". We ate this whole pan! I guess it was that good :) I also made us oatmeal milk chocolate chip cookies for desert and vanilla bean ice cream. If you would like to try out this healthy and tasty dish you should google the PAELLA recipe.
Aubrey and I have been spending more quality play time lately. I love to snuggle with her while watching a movie, or listening to her silly dialogues when playing with her dollies. She is so much fun and cool to hang out with! She is my new best Buddie!
Here is Aubrey's new shirt from ZARA and her cute little headband that I got at the Quilted Bear. Her cute pants I got at the Children's Place which also has cute things for cheap here and there. She is simply perfect!

Oh, and of course the little cute coat I got her at ZARA while in Spain this last September. I love that she is posing while getting her picture taken a lot better now!
