This is the castle view to the outside.
The main living room. My uncle collects antique castle decor and he has come up with a lot of them since last time we visited. The whole castle is cozy and fun to be. I must add that my uncle José Luís has been restoring his castle for the last 10 years. This awesome place didn't come put together. He has been spending his weekends, evenings and holidays working by himself and his friends to build this antique beauty! Here are a few pictures for you to see...
This is the outside patio. This whale is from the 2nd century. Crazy old! and Aubrey loved it! She just wanted to play by throwing the rocks into the fountain over and over. My uncle really liked that she had so much fun!
This is the guests side with one big bedroom (1 bunk bed and 2 beds), 1 bath, 1 kitchen and 1 living room. It is just so cozy. This is the first addition to the castle 5 years ago.
This is the latest addition.It is almost done. I like that he also made a spiral stair case to go up to the roof of the castle and watch the city at night.
This is his famous "gillotin" which is an original piece. Not sure where he got it from but it is worth a ton! Back then that is what they used to chop your head off when you didn't comply with the law.
Love the fact that my uncle had his portrait painting done dressed as a knight (To the left). He always tells us stories of the old and ancient Knight named "José Luís de Barbosa" and how he fought to bring peace to his nation. LOVE IT! He is super creative. In fact, he has other portraits of the family throughout the castle with stories made up for them as well.
