~ OuR LaTeSt HaPpEnNiNgS ~

Aubrey is into dancing like you would not believe. This girly thing has really hit her hard this last couple weeks. She puts on a skirt or tutu daily and waits for the music, on the movies she watches, to come along to put on the show! She is quite good too! This is such a fun toddler stage. I love how she has settled down a bit from her terrible 2s. She now gets through sacrament meeting just fine (as long as she has a coloring notebook, some crayons and snacks). Yesterday, she yelled in sacrament meeting: "Mummy, I'm hungry! Can I have little bread and water too?!" I busted out laughing so hard. She knew it was coming! She is also so good at picking just one piece of bread and be careful at not spilling the water.
She is also smart enough to sing along the hymns in her own words and to fold her arms for a few seconds when prayer is offered. The funny thing though is that I am picking at her during the prayers to make sure she keeps her eyes closed. But, as soon as she notices that I am looking at her she yells: "Mummy, close your eyes!" (Of course the next 3  rows of people in front of us look back and giggle).
Another thing that Aubrey has accomplished lately is being potty trained for good! She hasn't had any accidents for the past 3 weeks, so she is pretty solid at this point. It was hard at first but she caught up to it quick (also thank you to her baby sitter that teamed up with me).

Here we are on Sunday making some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Aubrey loved to add the ingredients to the bowl. Her favorite thing is to eat the dough off the mixing utensil I use. This time my Kitchen Aid mixer thing (looooove my kitchen Aid).

This picture was taken before Daddy and her went on a date to Lees Market Place and Blockbuster to get treats and a movie. She just giggled away! She loves so much her daddy, and her daddy is in love with her! It is so cute that Aubrey and Ryan run to each other still daily when we or he comes home. And, Aubrey is now the first one to get a kiss from Ryan daily...Literally!. The other day she asked Ryan to paint her toe nails: I mean, how cute is that!?!
She brings us sooo much happiness!
Okay, here is my Sushi California roll attempt. I don't know what is it with me but I have learned to loooove Sushi (the cooked stuff not the fear factor stuff so much).
I like sushi so much though that is was getting expensive to go to the Tona Restaurant every time we went on a date or a lunch with a friend :). Also, Ryan was getting a little tired of it. So, I decided that I needed to learn how to make it at home. I watched some YouTube videos and I dared to make it for dinner after FHE tonight. It was quite good! It had Cream cheese, avocado, cucumber and crab flakes. Well, my only down fault though is that I made the hugest roll ever and it took a mouth and a half to eat it!
Ryan and I laughed so hard it took us forever to finish it. We called it quits after the first roll (in part because we had plenty to eat but also because we could really choke on the rice).

Aubrey's Tower

She did the block tower all by herself!  Love the skirt over her pants...she has to have them lately :) In the last picture she is screaming of happiness after having built her tower.

Christmas Wrap Up

Yeah...our Christmas tree was that big! we had to break it down in order to get it out the door.
And yes, my much wanted and hoped for gifts were successfully brought by Santa. Love the Skookies! We have had those a lot lately! specially after FHEs. And of course, love my 6 quart Kitchen Aid! I have already used it many times but have to admit I was not excited to read and learn the instructions book. There is a lot to this machine!
Thanks Santa, I guess I have been good this year :)

"I'm not a baby mummy, Um a big girl!"

So here is Aubrey 3 months before turning 3 (pretty much potty trained). She really got the whole idea behind the potty concept...hence her looks at this picture. She just cracks me up! I have heard potty, pippi and poopo (did I spell them right?) so many times I hate those words by now! but, hey...whatever it takes, right?
Oh! By the way she likes to read books in order to get inspired. Who knew!
And is growing way too fast, she not only likes the whole pushing the stroller with the baby but has to have a purse and act like a little mommy (she even puts the baby on time out!)
And at last her big girl's bed. This is a pretty raw view of her bedroom now. I have bought a canopy, flower shaped pillow, bed in a bag and shelves to finish up her bedroom. I want to antique the bed and night stand creme color...so hopefully before the summer hits the whole project in done. She sleeps like it's not a big deal on her new bed. She's so easy when it comes to transitions and sleeping in general :)

Aubrey's Top 10

To wrap up this year I have decided to do Aubrey's TOP 10 List

Aubrey...

1. Says fully sentenced prayers.
2. Goes Potty #1, still working on #2.
3. Loves Books! and specially when her Daddy reads them to her.
4. Is a Milkcoholic! If I gave her a gallon a day she would drink it all no problem!
5. Would live on Pasta all year long. This child of mine is a true European :)
6. Sings by heard: I am a Child of God (1st Verse), Once There was a Snowman, Popcorn Popping, ABCs, Twinkle Twinkle, Adele Lasting Love Song and follows along our oldies CD song lyrics. What a crack up!
7. Loves to run to dad when he comes home from work while screaming "Daddy!!!!" and makes sure she gives him a few kisses ( nose, chicks, forehead and eyes) and a hug before we live the house in the morning.
8. Enjoys helping me in the kitchen when cooking (specially when its time to crack the eggs, she gets extra excited!)
9. Remembers friends and peoples names really well.
10. Has a strong little personality. She quotes me at times when disappointed ("Hey Mommy, you listen to me!" and tries to put me on time out. What a feisty personality she's showing already.  Good luck to us, right?

She is our Masterpiece! just the best thing its ever happened to us. She fills up our lives with happiness and good fulfilling moments. She has a sense of humor and makes us giggle from time to time. I just love being her mommy!

And Canada Once More

Yeah...we all got a cold. Luckily we got better within 3 days. Good thing we were on vacation and had the time to relax and get better.

See...these pictures are pure gold because my little one doesn't like to pose that much in front of the camera. I got her in a good mood and took a few of the cutest pictures ever!

Hanging out with Great Grandma. Aubrey was so cute when she started calling her great grandma. Her favorite thing to do while in Canada was by the way to say the food blessings. She does a pretty darn good job! She just talks way clear and in complete sentences. Where did my little speechless baby go?

At the new Cardston Town Greek restaurant. It turned out to be real good actually!

Getting Aubrey through the wait with her sticker-work book.
 Just love my honey!
I got on a craft making mood and made tons of this kind of flowers. Also, we found out that my sister is having a girl! Her name will be Victoria. Oh my, we already love her to pieces! I have gone shopping already for cute little ballerina baby shoes, flower head bands and more!

And made a trip to see the horses at the Barn.

Eating Pizza at Ben and Kristi's house. She had a blast with her little cousins and friends.
Canadian pizza. It was good! or we were starving...one of the two.

OH my heck how I loved Brittain's back massage! She undid all my knots that I apparently had (no wonder I couldn't sleep my best the last couple days).
Aubrey and her cousins. She played with them til they dropped.
From left to right: Lauren, Conner, Aubrey, Kali and Brittain.
On this one we have Uncle Todd and Aunt Lori with Ryan.

Farewell picture of Great Grandma and Grandpa.

And uncle Wes and Aunt Julie. (Sorry, I didn't do my hair that day...not my best shot).
